Raspa Graduate Programme is designed for recently graduated candidates with a zeal to innovate. The Programme offers an opportunity to work and gain experience in different verticals from upstream to downstream to analytical over a three-months period. This is followed by an offer to join the team as a Research Associate in one of the verticals based on performance and culture fit. This position is primarily a lab-based role which requires hands-on execution in the field of bioprocess engineering. The person will be reporting to the Senior Scientist.
You will:
- Support upstream fermentation/cell culture/downstream experiments for process development and optimization
- Assist in designing experiments related to development, scale-up, scale-down, and characterization of fermentation and primary recovery processes
- Interpret results and design studies for process improvements using statistical Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology
- Support maintenance and operation of bioprocess equipment
- Preparation of media and buffers
- Process data entry and data analysis
- Maintain laboratory records, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Inventory, and other documents, as necessary
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or relevant field
- Self-motivation with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility and willingness to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
- Detail-orientation with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- A can-do attitude, intellectual curiosity, analytical mindset, strong time management skills, a sense of ownership of work, and the ability to be flexible to business needs
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis
- Proficiency in cell culture and bioreactor operations with proper aseptic technique
- Familiarity with developing AI/ML based predictive models
